MoDOT Closes 92 for Roadwork

The Missouri Department of Transportation will be completing pavement resurfacing and shoulder work close to Smithville this spring. This will require the closure of both eastbound and westbound Missouri Route 92 between Mt. Olivet Road and Long Road beginning at 5 a.m. on Monday, April 3 until approximately mid-June.

During this time, MO Route 92 at Century Drive will also be closed. Motorists are advised to follow the signed detour route or seek alternate routes if necessary. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
