Kearney Falls to Liberty North in Doubleheader

The Kearney boys and girls basketball teams hosted the Liberty North Eagles in a doubleheader game on Tuesday, December 13. Both Bulldogs teams fought fiercely but came up short.

Jocelyn Lincoln lead in scoring with 10 points

The Lady Bulldogs faced tough competition against the Class 6 Lady Eagles and the Eagles came away with the win 60-36.

Kearney’s scoring leader, Brooke Paalhar, was having an off night and couldn’t get the ball find the bottom of the net. She scored 3 points on the night. The top scorers for the team was Jocelyn Lincoln with 10, followed by Gracie Bomar and JoJo Kutch who scored 7 each.

The Varsity’s record is now 1-5 on the season.

Boy’s leading scorer Davin Hanna had difficulties of his own in the first half. He didn’t start to heat up until he sank a 3-point shot in the 3rd quarter. He finished the game with 14 points on the night. Harvy Sayon had 7 points and Manny Linthacum and Aden Sallee both had 6 each.

The Bulldog boys finished the game behind the Eagles with a score of 54-40. The Varsity’s record is 2-3 on the season.
