Coach Minnick just completed his second season as head coach of the Bulldogs. Last year Minnick led the Bulldogs to a 10 – 1 overall record, a 9 – 0 regular season record, a Suburban Blue Conference championship and a second-place finish. He was also selected the Suburban Blue Conference Coach of the Year.

This year the Bulldogs have a 13 – 2 overall record and competed for the Class 4 State Title against the Hillsboro Hawks. The Bulldogs beat Hillsboro 68-28 for the title on December 2.

Minnick jokes about how special plays make him look like a great coach, but in reality, he recognizes that the players, coaching staff and community all make the Bulldogs a winning team.

“Just so proud of our kids; what an unbelievable effort,” said Minnick on the Coach Minnick Show. “What a showing from our community down there. They traveled so well. So awesome for the whole Kearney community.”
