Minimum Wage Increases in 2023

The Missouri Minimum Wage will take another increase in 2023. Missouri voters passed Proposition B in November 2018 which increases the minimum wage incrementally.

When 60% of Missouri voters approved the proposition in 2018, the state’s minimum wage was $7.85 per hour. The measure went into effect in 2019 and increased hourly pay to $8.60 per hour.

The current Missouri wage is $11.15 per hour, and in less than a week, minimum wage earners will get an automatic increase to $12.00 per hour.

The minimum wage increase will take effect on January 1, 2023, and will increase or decrease each year based only on changes in the Consumer Price Index. Government employers are exempt from these minimum wage increases.
