2024 Summer Concert Season Announced

The Kearney Parks and Recreation Department announces its summer concert schedule on the amphitheater stage for 2024. This season features something for everyone with four free concerts.

Kearney kicks off summer events at the amphitheater on Saturday, June 1, with Arena Rock Gods (ARG). ARG is a tribute to the rock bands that sold out arenas nationwide for many decades. Featuring faithfully recreated tributes to Queen, Van Halen, Journey, The Doors, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day, The Foo Fighters and many more. Gates open at 6 pm, and the show starts at 7 pm.

The amphitheater’s biggest event is next on the schedule. On Wednesday, July 3, Kearney celebrates Independence Day with a free concert and fireworks celebration. The city will have inflatables for the kids and music featuring Funk Syndicate.

Funk Syndicate has been bringing funk, R&B, soul and disco to the Midwest for the past 15 years and going strong. They specialize in providing a completely entertaining and authentic recreation of your favorite R&B and dance hits from the 60s to present day. The concert starts at 7:30 pm, and the fireworks start at 9:30 pm.

There will be free inflatable air toys for the children to play in from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, and cotton candy at the amphitheater. Spectators are encouraged to be parked before 9 pm and bring lawn chairs or blankets.

The next concert at the amphitheater is on August 3, with Phil Vandel. Phil has traveled the world with his music and continues to bring his powerful, unique style of singing, songwriting, and guitar playing to audiences around the globe at 150-200 shows per year. Gates open at 6 pm, and the show starts at 7 pm.

The final concert at the Kearney Amphitheater is a classic rock tribute. On Saturday, August 16, Double Vision will take the stage. Double Vision brings electrifying energy and timeless hits of Foreigner to life in an unforgettable tribute concert experience. Gates open at 6:30 pm, and the show starts at 7:30 pm.
