Bulldog Basketball Triumphs over Indians

The boys and girls basketball teams once again dominated at home in a double header on Tuesday, January 16, over the Fort Osage Indians.

The girls hosted Fort Osage first and took an early lead in the first quarter. By the end of the half eight players had contributed to the Bulldogs sizeable lead, 28-15. The girls never looked back during the second half, scoring 16 points in the third quarter and 12 in the fourth quarter. They cruised to victory over the Indians, 56-44.

The team was lead in scoring by JoJo Kutch with 12 points, followed by Jocelyn Lincoln with 10, Brooke Paalhar with 9, Ryleigh Van Emmerik with 6, Addie Taylor with 5, and Gracie Bomar, Alyssa Quick and Kayla Resler with 4 each.

Linthacum inspires the Bulldogs with a 3-point field goal in the 3rd quarter

The boys began slower, but they sped up the tempo with a flurry of 3-point shots in the second half. The first quarter only saw baskets from Drew Wilson and Harvey Sayon. Only two Indians were able to score as well, and the teams ended the first quarter, 7-6.

Davin Hanna helped Wilson and Sayon in the second quarter and the Bulldogs were up 17-14 at halftime.

The Bulldogs were on fire in the second half as Manny Linthacum inspired the team with a 3-point bucket. Field goals also came from Cameron Webster, Davin Hanna, and Angelo Donze as the boys pulled ahead and won the game 52-38.

Davin Hanna led the team in points with 16, followed by Aden Salle with 10, Manny Linthacum with 8, Harvey Sayon with 7, Drew Wilson with 5 Cameron Webster and Angelo Donze each with 3.
