Kearney Students Make All-District Choir

Kearney High School choir students participated in the District Choir Auditions on Saturday, Sept. 16 at Missouri Western State University. This audition consists of a short solo and a sight-reading portion.

Of the 29 students who attended, 25 students successfully placed themselves into the All-District Choir. They will gather with the other students across the region for a performance on Oct. 28.

The KHS juniors and seniors who earned spots on the All-District Choir have also qualified to audition for the All-State Choir. The choir is directed by KHS Vocal Music Teacher Dustin McKinney.

The selected students are Delayne Boyd, Elizabeth Demers, Emiliana Eberhardt, Phoebe Taylor, Ainsley Young, Eliza Lohman, Emma Daniel, Ivy Taylor, Julienne Ford, Kaycie Springer, Lia Wilson, Lily Chandler, Drew Nelson, Logan West, Nathaniel West, Ronin Roddy, Ryan Bowles, Tommy McAuliffe, Tyler Edie, Aiden Vasquez, Colton Walker, Connor Green, Evan Sandoval, Lucas Zurliene, and Zachary Zurliene.
