Senior Center Hosts Nutrition Program Enrollment

The Kearney Senior Center is hosting a second enrollment event for the Missouri Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program. The event is on August 10, from 10 am – 2 pm.

The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program provides benefits to low-income seniors, 60 years of age or older, where eligible seniors receive $50 in benefits annually, to be used for fresh fruit, vegetables, honey and herbs.

To receive vouchers for the program seniors must provide documents that show proof of age (driver’s license, passport), income verification (paystub, W-2, or SNAP documentation), and residency verification (utility bill, property tax receipt).

Seniors can enroll in the program at the Senior Center between 10 and 2 for $50 to use towards food. Call 816-635-0466 to let Senior Center staff know you will be attending.
