County Seeking Individuals for Opioid Settlement Task Force

Clay County is accepting letters of interest for individuals interested in serving on the Clay County Opioid Settlement Task Force. The County is seeking individuals that bring knowledge and bring direct or indirect experience with substance use and have a vested interest in the reduction of opioid misuse in the County.

The Clay County Opioid Settlement Task Force will be comprised of nine individuals selected for their diverse experiences critical to understanding the opioid epidemic. The Task Force will be an advisory body tasked with recommending to the Clay County Commission the most effective, efficient, and equitable distribution and allocation of the Opioid Settlement funds in compliance with the required guidelines and criteria.

As part of national and state Prescription Opioid Litigation efforts, Clay County is expected to receive settlement money over the next 18 years totaling approximately $1,445,000 to help combat the opioid crisis.
