Caroline Kelly Earns National Player of the Week

Former Kearney athlete Caroline Kelly earned top honors in college soccer this week. She was named National Player of the Week by College Soccer News as well as Offensive Player of the Week for the Atlantic-10 Conference. She is currently a junior at Saint Louis University.

According to CollegeSoccerNews.com, “Kelly was responsible for three of the six goals that the Billikens scored in a week that included a 3-2 win on the road over Xavier and a 3-0 win over SIUE at home in Hermann Stadium.”

Caroline helped Saint Louis overcome Xavier with two goals, giving them the win 3-2. She also contributed to the 3-0 win over Southern Illinois University. She leads the team in scoring with six goals, and has contributed to the team’s score in five consecutive games.

Caroline graduated from Kearney High School in 2020 and was an athletic leader on the soccer field and the basketball court.
