Tracy Tucker State Farm Gathers Back to School Fair Supplies

The first day of school is just around the corner, and that means Tracy Tucker’s State Farm office will begin gathering supplies and clothes for Kearney School District’s annual Back to School Resource Fair.

Tracy Tucker has volunteered her office as a drop-off location for new and gently used items for years, and this year is no exception. Tracy's State Farm Office will be available as a drop off site for donations between 9 am and 5 pm from now through August 5. The address is 751 Watson Drive, Suite D in Kearney.

“We believe no child should dread going back to school simply because they don’t have access to a nice outfit or shoes to wear,” Tracy told KPGZ News.  “Or what about the ones that just need a couple of new hygiene products to look and smell nice to walk through the door with confidence!  And then there’s the ones that only need a backpack with a few supplies to make this the best school year ever!”

The Resource Fair offers school supplies, backpacks, gently used clothing and other community resources for students in need. The event is designed to ensure that every child in the district has the support they need to thrive in the upcoming school year.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DONATIONS – All students who attend the resource fair get brand new school supplies to help start their school year off just like any other student.

CLOTHING DONATIONS – New and gently used clothes are needed for families. Items for school-age children are particularly important. Kearney High School spirit gear is always appreciated. It is requested that donations of underwear, socks and shoes be new items only.

The 2022 Back to School Resource Fair will be open on August 11 and 12, at Hawthorne Elementary School, which is located at 1815 S. Jefferson Dr. in Kearney.
