KPGZ General Manager Elected Chamber President

On Tuesday, June 28, 102.7FM KPGZ General Manager Brian Watts was elected President of the Kearney Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee.

During the Chamber’s regular Board of Directors meeting, the Board elected officers for 2022-23. Mr. Watts was elected President, Michelle Turner was elected Vice President, and Carrie McCarthy was elected Treasurer. Gerri Spencer will continue to serve on the Board as Immediate Past President.

“It is a great honor for me to serve as President of the Kearney Chamber. I am proud to be working with the Board of Directors to give our business owners a great support system in the Chamber of Commerce,” said Mr. Watts. “In 2021 we worked hard to begin new ideas, and I’m excited to be able to watch those programs flourish.”

Mr. Watts has been part of the Chamber’s Board of Directors since 2019, and joined the executive committee in 2020 as Vice President.

Mr. Watts took over as General Manager of 102.7FM KPGZ radio in November, 2017, and the radio station has been an active member of the Kearney Chamber since December 2017. 102.7FM is Kearney’s hometown radio station for news, weather, Bulldog sports, talk and entertainment.
