The Kearney Firehouse Community Center is bringing back a Music in the Park event for classical music lovers this summer. Ångström Brass will perform in Lion’s Park on June 17, from 6 – 7 pm.

Ångström Brass is a professional brass ensemble, founded in 2014 and based in Kansas City. The group is comprised of two trumpets, a trombone, and a tuba.

The quartet is a chamber ensemble that curates exceptional instrumental art music experiences. Melding the distinctive timbres of the various brass instruments into a cohesive musical voice, Ångström Brass serves the Kansas City community through engaging performances and educational programming.

Ångström Brass has performed live on Kansas Public Radio, been the Ensemble in Residence at Kansas City’s Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, performed at First Fridays in the Crossroads Arts District, presented concerts for Classical Revolution KC and the Kansas City Musical Club, played university guest artist recitals, presented K-12 educational master classes, and more.

This concert is sponsored by the City of Kearney and is free to the public.
