Liberty Hospital's Ambulatory Surgery Center One Of America's Best

Newsweek and its global research partner, Statista, named the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Liberty Hospital a Top Ten Best Ambulatory Surgery Center for 2022 in the state of Missouri, and one of America's Best. The research project evaluated expert assessments as well as performance data including a reputation score and key performance indicator data score for more than 4,600 ambulatory surgery centers across the country.

Additionally, for the second consecutive evaluation period, Liberty Hospital has received an "A" grade for its dedication to patient safety from The Leapfrog Group, which rates how well hospitals protect patients from preventable medical errors, injuries and infections. Among hospitals in the northland, Liberty Hospital was ranked the highest for safety, by the Leapfrog Group, two years in a row.

"We appreciate the commitment of our providers and staff to keep our patients safe," said President and CEO David Feess. "I am truly proud of our team as we continue to set high standards and elevate our performance to meet the growing need for high-quality care in the Northland."

The Newsweek and Statista ranking is comprised exclusively of ambulatory surgery centers that are eligible regarding the above-mentioned scope. The ranking was created through an elaborate process.

The Hospital Safety Grade is compiled under the guidance of leading experts and administered by The Leapfrog Group, a national, nonprofit hospital safety watchdog. The score is free to the public and designed to give consumers information they can use to inform themselves and their families when facing a hospital stay. More than 2,600 acute-care hospitals nationwide are graded twice each year, and grades are based on the review of 27 measures.
