Bulldog Girls Soccer Brings the Heat

The temperature on Tuesday afternoon was hot, and the Bulldog Girls Soccer team was on fire. The Bulldogs traveled to Winnetonka and scorched the Griffins 8 – 0 by halftime.

A lot of new faces, accompanied by a few veterans on the varsity field, brought the heat to the Griffins. Junior Serenity Sparks got things started with the game’s first goal. With 25:34 on the clock, Junior Bella Donze ripped one past the keeper for the second goal. Seven minutes later, Senior Mia Adkins scored a one touch hit from a spot on corner kick from Freshman Loren Rose. 

Sparks added to the scoreboard with her second goal of the night, making the score 4 – 0. Freshman Taylor Klein decided to put her name in the books for the fifth goal of the game.

Less than two minutes later, Adkins scored her second goal. Adkins then brought the ball up the sideline, crossing it to Sparks, giving her a hat trick. With one minute left of the game, Adkins sent through a pass to Junior Mila Kane who scored the game’s eighth and final goal. 

The Bulldogs are at home on Thursday for the final regular season game against Raytown South.
