Kearney Police Nab Suspects Overnight

Kearney Police, with the assistance of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, arrest three more individuals in an incident that mirrors an arrest they made on November 4. This time, Kearney Police stopped the suspects in the overnight hours of Saturday, November 11.

The Kearney Police Department posted on their social media that they were able to catch three individuals after they were dispatched to a local apartment complex. The social media post did not say what criminal activity the individuals were doing.

Police pursued the individuals on to I-35 where Sheriff’s Deputies deployed Stop Sticks to disable the vehicle, a black Chevrolet Equinox that was stolen from Kearney.

Once again a male suspect fled the vehicle on foot when it came to a stop. The 23-year-old male was arrested by Kearney Officers. A 23-year-old female from Shawnee Kansas and a 22-year-old male from Independence Missouri were also taken into custody.

Police officers recovered three loaded firearms, illegal narcotics and other personal items believed to belong to other crime victims from the previous nights.

The Kearney Police Department submitted charges to the Clay County Prosecutor’s Office on Sunday.
