Senior Trips are Back on the Road

The Kearney Parks and Recreation Department has resumed scheduling Senior Trips after cancelling them in 2020. Senior Trips are designed to bring seniors in the community together for a fun day trip.

Currently the trips are scheduled every other month to the New Theater Restaurant. The groups meet and leave from the parking lot of Mack Porter Park at 10:30 am, and usually return by 4:30 pm.

The current schedule includes the following shows:

• September 1: The King in Concert

• November 3: Menopause the Musical

• January 5: Always…Patsy Cline

• March 9: Don’t Dress for Dinner

• May 18: Million Dollar Quartet

• July 20: Freaky Friday – The Musical

Registration is now open and each trip is $40 per person. People can register on the city’s Parks and Recreation website at https://www.teamsideline.com/sites/kearneymo/program/39742/Senior-Day-Trips.
