Kansas City Symphony Entertains in Lion’s Park

Members of the Kansas City Symphony are scheduled to perform this month at the newly renovated Lion’s Park as part of the Mobile Music Box program.

Kearney residents will have a chance to experience the Kansas City Symphony without leaving town. The Symphony’s Mobile Music Box musicians travel I-35 north to Lion’s Memorial Park on Saturday, June 26.

It will be a fun and free concert that’s sure to please. The ensemble will perform much-loved works and pieces that will become instant favorites. Audience members will be entertained with selections from a varied program of works which includes Mozart’s Magic Flute, Scott Joplin’s Ragtime Dance, Rossini’s Barber of Seville, and more.

The concert will occur weather permitting, and concert-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

The Mobile Music Box concert begins at 11 am and is free to the public. More information about the concert series is available on the Kansas City Symphony website .
