The Kearney School District is ready to bring in the next batch of student athletes for volleyball, girls basketball, softball, baseball and football through youth summer sports camps. Registration is now open to district families at www.ksdr1.net/activities.

“Our goal is to provide a fun environment with a focus on sports-specific skill development,” KSD Activities Director Dave Schwarzenbach said. “We are looking forward to having a summer of fun and growth with our students!”

The school district wants to remind families that the Clay County Public Health Center still requires face coverings for children who are inside and not active. However masks can be removed during the sport while the kids are active. Masks will not be required for outdoor summer activities. These rules may change if the health center updates its health emergency guidelines.
