Imperfectly Brave Event Empowers Women

Women from all over the region will gather to teach, learn and worship on April 9 and 10 for “Imperfectly Brave: Becoming”. The event welcomes women of all ages, backgrounds, and all walks of life. It will empower women to become more Christ-like by focusing on Christ’s love and being unified in the Spirit.

Christian author and speaker Chrystan Ferrell describes Imperfectly Brave as a non-denominational women’s ministry that exists to equip women to build a lifestyle of prayer and community. One way Imperfectly Brave does this is through gathering events and conferences like “Becoming”.

“We set women up for really great connections, not just connection with God which is very important, but with each other,” says Ferrell. “We sit and talk and create friendships that have lasted years. We’re going to focus on what it means to be unified as Christians.”

To accomplish that mission through Imperfectly Brave, Ferrell has organized the event to include teaching sessions, music, vendors for shopping, ways to share experiences and lessons, and all the things women love to do.

“Imperfectly Brave: Becoming” is taking place on April 9 and 10 at White Iron Ridge, 815 State Route 92 Highway in Smithville. General admission is $75 for individuals, groups of 5 – 9 women are $70 per ticket, and groups of 10 and up are $65 per ticket. Admission includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday as well as access to all sessions and programs. More information and registration can be found at ImperfectlyBrave.com/IBKC.

“Women are going to walk away with great food, an incredible worship time, connection with God, and connection with others,” exclaims Ferrell. “My goal for them is that they will leave refreshed and recharged and challenged to light up the darkness.
