The Bulldogs took charge from the start and worked as a well-oiled machine during this first game of the season. Senior Forward Emily Shepherd scored the game’s only goal with only 11 seconds left in the first half.

In the second half, Bulldog defenders held back the Chicks and did not allow a goal. Pleasant Hill’s defense was just as strong and didn’t allow Kearney to score either. It was a strong match up throughout the game, but the Bulldogs’ first half goal was the deciding factor.

The Bulldogs face Grain Valley at 6:30pm on Wednesday as they advance in the Platte County Tournament.
