Kearney Enrichment Council Ready for Spooktacular Events

The Kearney Enrichment Council is calling ghosts, goblins, and ghouls of all ages to celebrate Halloween in Kearney. The Enrichment Council is hosting three events this year that are fun for the whole family.

The Old Firehouse Community Center is having its annual Halloween Blast. They will have trunk or treating, hotdogs, a photo booth, monster kids craft, carnival games, maze, pumpkin contest, and costume contest.

The Halloween blast is Friday, October 29 from 4 – 6 pm at the Old Firehouse and Lion’s Park, and is free to the public.

The Enrichment Council is also hosting Trick-or-Treating at the Kearney Farmer’s Market on Saturday, October 30 from 8 am – noon. The Farmer’s Market is located in the parking lot of the Kearney School District administration building.

Older kids and adults will want to check out the Enrichment Council’s very first “Witch Way: a Haunted Walk” in Mac Porter park. This spooky walk is a fundraiser for the Enrichment council and is open on October 30 and 31, from 7 – 11 pm. Admission to the haunted walk is $20 per group (maximum of five people per group). The recommend age for the walk is kids over 14 years old due to some graphic content.
