The Highway Patrol investigated the crash and determined that 19 year-old Korie Davis of Kearney was traveling northbound on C Highway. She failed to yield to a 2016 Ford Expedition which was traveling eastbound on 92 Highway, driven by 17 year old Madison Sutton, also of Kearney. The Nissan, driven by Davis, was totaled in the collision and Sutton’s Expedition suffered extensive damage.

Both teens were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and suffered minor injuries. Sutton was transported to Liberty Hospital by Kearney Area Fire and Rescue. Davis was released to seek her own treatment.
