Kearney School District Rolls Out COVID-19 Dashboard

The Kearney School District has created an online tool to help keep parents and the community informed of students, staff and faculty who have been exposed or tested positive for COVID-19.

The Dashboard will be updated each Friday

The school district has done a very good job of keeping people informed of return-to-school plans, support services and COVID-19 school exposures. Keeping the public informed requires frequent notices, sometimes on a daily basis.

In an effort to continue communicating, but reduce the amount of notifications being sent to families, the school district has created a COVID-19 Dashboard website. The Dashboard will be updated each Friday with the latest numbers of people, including students, who have tested positive, recovered, are quarantined, and are isolated. The dashboard also includes a list of definitions, quarantine timeline, exposure type, and location and letters released to school building families. No identifiable information is included on the Dashboard.

The school district will continue to inform individuals considered “Close Contacts” through email and phone calls. Families within the school building impacted by a COVID-19 positive case will receive an email from the district.

Updated COVID-19 Information can also be found on the district’s dedicated COVID-19 webpage.
