The lunch was originally scheduled for the afternoon of September 11, however event organizers chose to postpone the event due to weather concerns.

The lunch is free and all military veterans, active duty military personnel, law enforcement officers, fire department and EMS personnel are invited.

Dr. Strathman has been hosting this lunch at his office since 2017.

“Being former military myself, it just struck us that we ought to do something to recognize these people.” Strathman said on 102.7FM’s Kearney Live.

The lunch will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, September 18, at the Kearney Family Chiropractic Center. Businesses also involved include Tracy Tucker State Farm, Dr. Tobler’s Hometown Dentistry, 102.7FM KPGZ, and Updike BBQ, which will be preparing food. In case of inclement weather, the lunch will be served in Dr. Tobler’s Hometown Dentistry office which is located next to Kearney Family Chiropractic Center.
