The 1st Annual Kearney’s Magical Night Lighted Parade will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2020. The “reverse” parade starts at 6:00 pm. Viewers of the parade drive through stationery floats. The event will end with fireworks at 7:30 pm.

The Kearney Enrichment Council released the following rules for attending the parade:

1) Stay in your car at all times. This is a Drive-Thru event, not a walk around the party. We need you to stay safe, in your cars so you can enjoy seeing everything.

2) You will drive in on Platte Clay Way and wait there. There is also another entrance off of Main and Washington that is open if you are coming from the north side of town. Clark Street will be closed. Take turns letting people in please.

3) As you are driving through the lights make sure you crack your windows so you can hear the music! Some floats have music and we have our own band and signer playing.

4) When you have completed the parade route, turn right on Grove Street. You will want to pull into Old Church Plaza to receive some goodie bags and shop at our small mall. The small mall is a fundraiser for our after-school program that costs $5 a gift. Gifts come wrapped already as your kiddo chooses gifts for mom, dad, teacher, grandma that way they are more of a surprise. We do take cards, but cash is fine.

5) Make sure you stay until 7:30 pm to see Fireworks. They are down the street, so make sure you don't park at Old Church or in the way of the conga line of cars that is happening. You will want to get out of the way to get a better seat in your car.
