For 364 days of the year, kids can be sure that Santa Claus is at the North Pole. But for one day, Christmas Eve, Santa is on a world tour in his sleigh. Thanks to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), parents and kids can track Santa’s progress around the globe as he delivers presents to all the good boys and girls.

Starting at 3:00 am Central Time on Christmas Eve, website visitors can watch Santa make preparations for his flight. NORAD’s “Santa Cams” will stream videos on the website as Santa makes his way over various locations. From 5:00 am to midnight, trackers worldwide can call the tracking hotline at 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) to speak with NORAD Santa tracking experts.

For over 65 years NORAD has been using experts to track Santa on Christmas Eve. These experts use Santa certified radar, satellites, jets, and cameras positioned in strategic locations around the world to inform callers of Santa’s location.

Parents and kids can also see Santa’s progress by visiting the online Santa tracker on NORAD’s website . The website also lets visitors virtually visit the North Pole, play games, watch movies, and even listen to Christmas tunes.

Anytime on December 24, Amazon Alexa users can ask for Santa’s location through the NORAD Tracks Santa skill for Amazon Alexa, and OnStar subscribers can press the OnStar button in their vehicles to locate Santa.

The official NORAD Tracks Santa app has been updated for 2020 and is available in the Apple App and Google Play stores. Tracking opportunities are also offered through social media on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, as well as on partner platforms Amazon Alexa and OnStar.
