Mayor Presents Keystone Awards to Kearney Businesses

On December 2, Mayor Randy Pogue presented four Kearney Businesses with a 2020 Keystone Award. The 2020 Keystone Recognition Awards are presented by the Clay County Economic Development Council to recognize businesses that have made a significant contribution to Clay County’s economy.

These awards recognize not only companies new to the area, but existing companies that have increased their commitment to Clay County through job creation, capital improvements, expansions, new equipment and/or technology.

Winning nominations should meet at least two of the following criteria:

  • Significant capital investment, such as new/refurbished building, equipment or technologies

  • Increase area employment

  • Improvements to neighborhoods, business districts, housing, amenities and/or capital improvements

  • Use of services provided by CCEDC.

Mayor Pogue presented awards to:

  • Tim Harris from the Shoppes of Kearney

  • Dr. Brian Hamm from Paisley Candle & Home and Paisley Perk

  • Travis Hedrick, Brian Narron and Brandon Narron of 970 Premier Drive Commercial Building

  • Kurt Johnson of Mr. Dell Foods.
