Bulldog Football Players Selected for All-Conference Honors

Senior lineman, Kade Dunlap was named First Team All-Conference on both offense and defense. Head Coach Josh Gray wasn’t surprised, “His ability on the field allowed him to play both ways at a high level. Kade has been a great asset to the Bulldog Football Program. He has been a leader and great role model for our younger players.”

Junior, K.J. Smith was selected First Team All-Conference linebacker and senior, Tucker Stute was named first team defensive back.

Second Team All-Conference offense selections were: senior, Kaden Borchardt at running back and junior offensive lineman, Briggs Terwilleger.

Junior place-kicker and linebacker, Braxton Breedlove was selected to the Second Team, All-Conference Special Teams.

Honorable Mention Defense: Kyle Midkiff, DL; Briggs Terwilleger, DL; Daryn Langford, LB; Trenton Vaughn, LB; Joe Marshall, DB; Luke Noland, DB; Ian Acosta, Punter.

It’s encouraging to note, out of the 22 Kearney football players chosen for All-Conference honors, 13 are underclassmen who return as the foundational leadership of next year’s team.

Kearney’s COVID-shortened football season ended with a 5 – 5 overall record that included two district playoff victories and a second-place finish in Class 4, District 8 competition.
