Help Sought for Missing Smithville Teen

Lexus Perkins, 16, went missing Sunday, Oct. 11, from the Smithville area

******UPDATE******Deputies have confirmed that Lexus has been located, and returned home safely.

Law enforcement officials are seeking assistance to help find a Smithville High School student. According to the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Lexus Perkins, 16, went missing Sunday, Oct. 11, from the Smithville area.

Perkins is 5-foot seven-inches tall, weighs about 195 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes. 

She was last seen wearing a black Smithville Warriors T-shirt, which has a handprint on the back, and black shorts with black socks and black sandals. Perkins may also be wearing a black hoodie with red writing.

Perkins was last heard from by a relative between noon and 1 p.m. Sunday, with Perkins saying she was going for a walk.
